The F140 Professional signal amplifier is designed to amplify UHF (TV) or FM (Radio) signals in a poor signal area or to distribute the TV/Radio signal around the house. Typically these amplifers are installed in the loft or next to a signal source that is to be distributed, e.g. Sky or Freeview receiver.

Unlike many RF distribution amplifiers the Global F series are tvLINK compatible, i.e. they pass power from a Sky receiver onto any connected tvLINK Magic Eye Remote Control Extenders. The booster is also designed to carry the return signal from a tvLINK remote control extender back to the Sky digibox. This enables the viewer to watch and control from several locations.

The F140 can either be powered by a Sky digibox (from the RF2 port) or via the mains with the optional Global Mains PSU or by adding a DC inserter to the input cable.

All connectors on the F140 amplifiers are professional 'F' connectors for excellent signal coupling providing high quality sound and vision throughout the system.

Good quality coax cable should be used with these amplifiers. The better the cable the better the picture and sound will be at the destination TV's. Cheap, low quality coax cable will cause loss of signal and poor quality picture and sound.
